Anti-Theories of a Ghost Nation, developed by Chris House.
If you have already visited the Ghost Theories, then you have come to the right place! If not you may wish to visit that section first.
In the ghost section you have seen that UKSPI uses a classification system developed internally. This classification was developed from knowledge gained from various sources, but no one have ever argued aganist popular belief....until now.
This section will give the opposing views of the theory of ghosts, using the types named in the classification system. Remember, that although UKSPI accepts the UKSPI classification system, there is no evidence of anything in the paranormal field, so UKSPI has to also accept the opposition.
The UKSPI Ghost Classification System.
1. Residual Energy - This is all about personal belief. If you do not believe that any one can interact with ghosts, this is simply abstract. It is made up, and therefore, has no scientific value. In in 'laboritory' circumstances, should be excluded.
2. 'Sensed' Spirits - The above applied. Sensed spirits, and philosophy states that to find the truth, the mind has to be followed and not the senses. But sensed spirit are in the mind, so which is the real truth? Of course, someone could easily 'create' a spirit and it could all be lie, science would know no different, and could be the same with a medium. A medium could subconsciously make up a spirit, and 'believe' the spirit to be true.
3. Orbs - Orbs could simply be atmospheric. They could also be a camera fault. There is no way to say which they are. Orbs can sometime be too readily available.
4. Electro-Magnetic Fluctuation - They are most likely natural. There are so many cellular transmitters around, and in fact, everything gives out electromagnetism. Even you do. So why is it that an EMF reader cannot pick up the vast about of EMF that your body picks up? So if it cannot pick up the EMF in your body, why would it pick it up in a ghosts body. It is simply theory with no proof.
5. Electromagnetic Voice Phemonenon (EVP) - Most EVP I have heard has been a simple noise, which a person assigns words to. If I show you most EVP's and ask you, 'what does it say?' you will usually say somthing different to the person next to you. If I say, 'Hear this, it says, "Get out of my home"' You will most likely hear 'Get out of my home' but it is simple a noise, and you mind turns it into words.
6. Possession - Could simply be an act. Either voluntary, or not. The person could truely believe they have been possessed, when in fact, their mind made it up.
7. Recorded Spirit - No evidense at all of this, just a theory. How many times a year would the atmosphere be exactly the same? Never!
8. Spirit Aparition - Could be a figure of imagination. Or, hallucination. Most paranormal investigators stay up all night, and at 3am when they see a ghost, it is a hallucination created by sleep deprevation...there is proof of this!
9. Poltergeist - Bangs and crashes can be heard at any location, usually due to gravity, and balance, other times due to the contraction/expansion of the building's materials. Scratches could be caused by walking into somthing, but not remembering it. Moving objects could have been moved by gravity, or by a person, but they don't remember it.
10. Diva - I think it is very difficult to believe that negitive energy can take on its own intelligence, but could simply run under the same category as a Poltergiest.
To whatever theory is produced in the paranormal field, there will always be the opposition. Both have to be respected, and observed.Only then, will the gates of truth be opened for us.
